About the Founder

Hi there! My name is Traci and I am the founder & creative director of Plant Maven. I was born + raised in the small town of Fredericksburg that's located in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Growing up in a less populated city definitely had its perks but I'd be lying if I said it hasn’t been fascinating seeing how my beloved birthplace has grown and morphed into such a sought after destination for travelers. Our quaint town offers up unique experiences, eateries with some of the finest fare and libations to cure any level of the blues; all of which are chock full of welcoming vibes from the locals. I reside in the beautiful historic district with my hound, and unofficial mascot of Plant Maven, Ezra. He’s a thirteen year old dachshund that has enriched my life to the umpteenth degree; I simply couldn’t have asked for a better companion to walk beside me through some adventures on this earth. 

Having been born into a family of green-thumbs, I have always had an affinity for plants, especially those for indoor use. It wasn’t until I took my first nursery job in 2017 where the passive adoration turned into a full blown passion. With over ninety indoor specimens myself, I truly love to nurture nature. I am constantly looking to expand my collection whilst also continuing my education on how to be the best plant mama that I can be. When I don’t have my hands in the dirt, you can find me doing things like nesting in my 1940’s home, enjoying precious time with friends & family, going for walks, exploring new spots in Fredericksburg or pinning project + business ideas to my pinterest boards. I am also a champion napper and find that rest and resetting the brain are so important for my mental health.
