In order to ensure that we offer legitimately quality products we wanted to approach the process of choosing a manufacturing partner with a rather selective filter. Sustainability is something of importance to us at Plant Maven, so we harnessed that by joining forces with a trusted, and awarded, India based company. They not only supply us with our customized products, but they work with us on designing sustainable packaging as well. Simply, we want to do our part in creating space to support a healthy environment for body and mind for the generations to come
Keeping within that mindset, we are working directly with a manufacturer that supplies mango wood products. Mango wood, scientific name Mangifera Indica, is a hard wood that is part of the Anacardiaceae family, which includes plants like the pistachio. Native to Southeast Asia, particularly India and Myanmar. It’s revered for its sustainable properties; It has a dense texture with a fine grain, it is strong + durable, and it works well in a variety of mediums because of its natural moisture resistance properties. We love this medium not only for its viable nature, but it also looks pretty with its individual variations and striations of color, no two pieces are the same
